We have forest fires all around us, which gives the air a nasty brown color.

You mean this godforsaken hell like weather? Today we have smog conditions and it's slightly overcast which gives the outdoors a jaundice color.

I don't believe that friends are made -they merely are.

Well since they when and locked the thread I guess this can continue here.

To tell the truth the only beef I have with American English is when the bloody spell checker is set to it. Other than that quite frankly it's fair gain. Plus the Americans started on it before it was even standardised. Also English is my no stretch of the word a pure language. I mean seriously there’s is bits of a hells a lot of languages. The bigger influences being Anglo-Saxon and French. For instance sky is a very Anglo-Saxon word and the French gave us ‘qu’.

No one butches and makes up English as they go along better than the English my friend XD.

There is more to being a decent critic than saying you like or hate something. Challenge yourself to say which things you like about something you are judging/doing a critique on, or what about it you don't.

thanks for the fav.

I hoped that piece might embody the stunning situation of New Orleans, although it's not in one of the worst-hit areas, and is by no means the worst thing I saw. Unfortunately not everything I caught came out as well, but the devastation that remains is truly something nothing on television, or in any article or media can represent. It's one of the first times I've felt like maybe, I'm just an asshole for taking pictures of this shit.

From what I can tell, they don't just need money. Helping hands, I'm sure, are welcome. But they need people who are willing to stand up to their corrupt state government, and our corrupt federal government, and hold them responsible.
